2016 has been acclaimed as one of the best vintages ever by the majority of the international wine critics and we are happy to share a great result to share this outstanding accolade for Castiglion del Bosco.

Our single vineyard Brunello di Montalcino 2016 Campo del Drago has received 96 points by Bruce Sanderson, the renowned wine critic that writes about Italian wines on the international magazine Wine Spectator. Please see his review:

“A balanced, expressive style, offering plum, cherry, fruitcake, iron and spice flavors, which are fused to muscular tannins, but also vibrant acidity, keeping this energetic and defined. Fine balance overall and terrific length on the finish. Best from 2025 through 2048. 667 cases made, 150 cases imported. — BS”

We are very proud of this very important result – the highest score we’ve received so far on this very important magazine – and it shows the development and evolution of Castiglion del Bosco’s wine.
